Albacore (Thunnus alalunga) is a schooling pelagic fish of the tuna genus, characterized by unusually long pectoral fins. It can be found in temperate and tropical latitudes of all oceans. ft can reach up to 60 kilograms in weight. it may stay in the surface layer or go 600 meters deep. Tunas often flock with other tunas of their size. It is constantly in motion, actively feeding day and night. Unlike other tunas, most of its diet consists of cephalopods, in particular squid. it also feeds on fish, crustaceans, and jelly-like organisms. Albacore meat is considered the best of all tuna.

How to catch a unique Albacore? You can catch this fish either with bait or lures.
If you prefer to use natural baits, then the best way to catch Albacore would be to use Split Tail Mullet on a size #10/0 hook.
If you are more into artificial lures, you should go for some Trolling Octopuses. The most successful lure is Light Wood Plug 150 g, #10/0.
