Bull Trout (Salvelinus Confluentus) is a fish species belonging to the Salmon family that is native to northwestern North America. As its range of habitat, this fish prefers cold, clear waters of large lakes and rivers with clean gravel beds and deep pools. While extremely similar to Dolly Varden in appearance, Bull Trout is distinguished by its silver-grey body with light grey spots and a longer jaw. Fully grown freshwater Bull Trout rarely exceed 3.5-8 lb in weight. While young fish mostly feed on aquatic insects and zooplankton, fully grown Bull Trout are predators that mostly eat smaller fish.
