Clear Muskie (E. Masquinongy Immaculatus) is a subspecies of the Muskellunge belonging to the Pike family that is common to rivers and lakes of Ontario and Manitoba in Canada as well as Minnesota and Wisconsin in the United States. Clear Muskies range in color from silver to deep green, sometimes with very faint spots or bands on their sides. Fully grown Clear Muskies usually range in weight from 11 lb to 44 kg, but unique specimen weighing up to 66 kg are known to be caught from time to time. These predatory fish usually prey on other smaller fish, but can also eat birds, snakes, frogs, and small mammals.
