Green Jobfish (Aprion virescens) is a marine demersal fish from the Lutjanidae family, inhabiting the Indo-Pacific region. It lives in coastal waters near rocky and coral reefs, in channels and deep lagoons at a depth of 1 to 120 meters. It can reach 16 kilograms of weight. The Green Jobfish feeds mainly on fish, but can also eat crustaceans, cephalopods, and zooplankton. It can lead either a solitary lifestyle, or flock into small groups. You can best catch it with bottom and jig tackle.
