Muskie Golem (Esox Stonius) – there are many fish legends among the anglers of Saint Croix Lake, one of which is about the Muskie Golem. This fish gets its name for having abnormally large and tough scales that make it look as if made of rock. The Muskie Golem is also said to be well over a hundred years old and weighs almost 35 kg (75 lb), which makes it the largest Muskie specimen in all of Saint Croix! Virtually uncatchable, as it seems to take no interest in any typical baits or lures.
