Striped Marlin (Kajikia audax) is a large predatory pelagic fish that lives in the surface layers of tropical and temperate waters of the Indo-Pacific region. It can weigh up to 225 kilograms and reach a length of just over 4 meters.
This fish leads a solitary lifestyle, but several specimens can simultaneously hunt for the same large flock of forage fish, which is common only for this species of Marlin. It feeds around the clock, but the peak of activity occurs at night. Striped Marlin hunts near the surface, often jumping out of the water.
Schooling fish and cephalopods make up the basis of its diet. You can catch it by trolling with artificial lures, as well as with live baits.
