Yellowfin Tuna (Thunnus albacares) is a large schooling pelagic fish of the tuna genus. It can be found in temperate and tropical latitudes of all oceans. During the day it tends to stay deeper than at night. This fish can reach up to 200 kilograms in weight and up to 2.5 m in length. Tunas often flock with other tunas of their size. It is constantly in motion, actively feeding day and night, and rarely goes below 100 meters. Tuna’s main diet consists of small fish, crustaceans, and squid. Like other tuna, you can easily catch it using trolling.
