European Brown Trout (Salmo Trutta Morpha Laustirs) is a freshwater fish of the Salmon family that was initially native to Europe but has been widely introduced throughout the world. This particular nonanadromous form of Brown Trout prefers to inhabit large freshwater lakes and streams. This freshwater Brown Trout is silvery-brown in color with a few spots and a creamy white belly. This medium-sized fish usually grows to 1 – 2.5 kg in weight, with unique specimen growing to around 4 kg. European Brown Trout predominantly feed on aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates and other fish.
