Redfin Pickerel (Esox americanus americanus) is a species of freshwater fish in the pike family (Esocidae). This species can be found in lakes, swamps, backwaters, and sluggish pools of streams, typically in clear water among vegetation. The Redfin has distinctive orange to red fin coloration. Known to reach a maximum size of 39.5 cm (15 in) and weight of 1 kg (2.2 lbs). They are carnivorous and feed mostly on smaller fish.
