White Bass (Morone Americana) is a freshwater fish widely distributed across the midwestern United States. White Bass usually inhabit large reservoirs and rivers, but can also be found in shallow rivers, creeks, and streams. This fish is usually silver-white to pale green in color, with dark back, white belly, and narrow dark stripes along the sides. Most White Bass grow to a weight of 0.5 kg (lb), but Trophy-sized specimen can weigh up to 2 kg. White Bass are carnivores, feeding primarily on other small fish, crustaceans and insects. When not frightened, they will bite readily at live bait such as worms and minnows.
